Music Ministry

The Music Ministry at Corpus Christi is a great way to get involved in our parish. You don’t need top-notch skills, just a love of music and community! See below for various ways in which to participate:

Adult Choir

Open to all.  This group is the foundation of the music ministry at Corpus Christi Church.  Adult Choir rehearses on Sunday at 11:00 AM, and sings at the 12:30 PM Mass.  Members often refer to the choir as a “family.” We learn a lot about music, vocal technique (even how to sight read), and do so in a safe, sacred, and fun way. We are always open to new members!

Children’s Choir

Open to singers Grade 3 and up. The  Children’s Choir rehearses Monday evenings at 6:30 PM in the parish center.  Children’s choir will teach your child fundamentals of music:  rhythm, melody, singing in tune, even how to read music.  We sing at the 8:45 AM Sunday Mass, and as part of special liturgies throughout the year.  Both Spanish and English speaking families are encouraged to participate!

Handbell Choir

Open to Grade 4 and up, and open to adults as well.  The Handbell Choir rehearses Monday evenings at 7:30 PM in the Parish Center. Participants are assigned to specifically pitched bells.  Working as a group and ringing the bells as directed, this group creates a beautifully unique take on hymns, Christmas carols, and other favorite music.  We ring at the 8:45 AM Sunday Mass, and as part of special liturgies throughout the year.   A very rare and unique opportunity!

Guitar Group

Open to players Grade 7 and up, and open to adults as well.  Younger participants allowed on a case by case basis.  Beginners welcome!  You must bring your own guitar, no exceptions.  Both Spanish and English speaking players are encouraged to participate!
